VGC ANNUAL DINNER & PRIZE GIVING

The Vintage Glider Club Annual Dinner and Prize Giving will this year be held at ‘The Aviator’ Hotel, Sywell Airfield, Northamptonshire, on the 13th October 2007.

How to get there

 

The price £22.50 quoted in the VGC News is for the Starter and Main course. Sweet is optional and costs £4.00 extra. Full details of the menu were not available at the time of printing. Our apologies if this has caused confusion.

Starters

 

Choice of Soup

 

Course Chicken Terrine. Sliced Chicken terrine with Peppers, finished with a Sweet Chilli Red Onion Compote

 

Oven Baked Goats cheese. Goats Cheese baked with Sun-blushed tomatoes, wrapped in filo pastry. Finished with Pesto Sauce

 

Sardine Bake:  Sardines sat on Ratatouille with puff pastry case. Finished on a bed of crispy rocket leaves

Fillet Medallions: Fillet Medallions stuffed with a Mushroom Duxelle, Finished with a wild Mushroom sauce

 

Lamb Shank: Lamb shank cooked slowly, sat on Horseradish mash. Finished with Rosemary Jus

 

Pan-fried Tuna: Tuna steak served with Cajun Prawn cream sauce

 

Vegetarian option available. All dishes are served with seasonal Vegetables & roasted Potatoes.

Mango and Blackcurrant Teardrop
Mango Mouse sat on a Vanilla sponge, finished with a Mint crème Auglaze.
 
Raspberry Charlotte
Served with a Vanilla cream.
 
Citrus Tart
Served with Orange Cream
 
Apple and Honey French Tart
With Crème Auglaze and Fruit Coulis.
 
Chocolate and Sherry Pate
Served with homemade short bread biscuits
 
Strawberry Deice
Served with Vanilla cream.
 
Butterscotch Cheesecake
Topped with rich Butterscotch sauce.
 
Chocolate Fondant
Served with a Vanilla Pod Ice cream
 
 
 
Cheese and Biscuits are available if required, but these have a supplement of

£2/person and are served with celery, Apples and Grapes.

 

 

Accommodation

We have negotiated a special weekend rate for rooms at the Aviator Hotel. They are: £59:00 for a Double Room, £80:00 for a Twin room and £85:00 for a single room.
